The lowdown
This is the Iroc, a sexy successor to the Scirocco coupe that Volkswagen will launch in 2008. Officially, the Iroc is a concept car, but make no mistake, this dynamic three-door is heading for production. The design doesn't share many obvious styling cues with the 1974 original.
Volkswagen is considering adding another crossover to its product portfolio as it takes aim at ambitious sales targets in the United States and overseas markets. “It's a part of our vision for the future,” Volkswagen Group of America CEO Jonathan Browning said. The vehicle would have SUV-style cues, and Browning said it's being discussed by company brass.
The AEV Brute, a Jeep Wrangler stretched and turned into a four-door pickup by American Expedition Vehicles, already has so much going for it that we could hardly imagine how it could be improved upon. AEV was already famous for offering a wide variety of off-roading equipment before the debut of the well-received Brute double-cab pickup, a bespoke truck in the spirit of the Jeep Gladiator and the Land Rover Defender 130. Filson The Filson version features the 6.4-liter V8 instead of the V6.
